Nonprofit Leaders Make Exciting Change During a Unique Moment of Opportunity

(Taylorsville, UT) April 2, 2021 – Waterford.org is pleased to announce that Andy Myers has been promoted to Chief Executive Officer of the educational nonprofit organization—from President & COO. Dr. Benjamin Heuston and the Board of Trustees make the announcement during a unique moment of opportunity, citing Myers’ extensive leadership experience to expand the organization’s reach, impact, and operational excellence.

This moment of unprecedented success at Waterford.org would not be possible without the vision and leadership of the former CEO, Dr. Heuston, who will stay on with the organization as both an Executive Director and a member of the Board of Trustees. Ever focused on the organization’s mission of making sure all children have educational success from the beginning of their academic journey, Dr. Benjamin Heuston enabled Waterford.org to evolve from a family-run, regional organization and R&D shop to a national voice and leader in the Early Education space.

“I’m humbled to follow in the footsteps of the Heustons, whose vision, passion and selflessness have put the nonprofit Waterford.org in a position to make a positive difference in the world for generations to come,” said Andy Myers, CEO, and President of Waterford.org

“We are thrilled and amazed with the progress of Waterford, and we are confident in the team’s ability, with Andy’s leadership, to make the most of this unique moment of opportunity,” said Waterford.org Board Chair, Allison Molkenthin. “Never before have the attention, resources, and needs been more aligned for Waterford to make a positive difference for young learners in the U.S. and throughout the world.”

Myers started his career at Waterford in 1995 then went on to hold several industry leadership roles, including Pearson COO for Digital Learning, the CEO at Scientific Learning, Chief Strategy Officer at Renaissance Learning, and most recently as COO and President at Waterford.org. Myers is excited to continue working with the organization’s executive team.

“The Waterford.org team has delivered exceptional growth and impact despite challenging circumstances,” said Myers, “and we have the opportunity to do so much more with the foundation we are putting in place. I’m grateful every day to work alongside colleagues and partners who are dedicated to meeting the needs of children, families, and educators at this critical time.”
